A calendar is a system of organizing days for a social, religious, commercial or administrative purpose. This organization is done by giving names to periods of time – typically days, weeks, months and years. The name given to each day is known as a date. Periods in a calendar (such as years and months) are usually, though not necessarily, synchronized with the cycles of some astronomical phenomenon, such as the cycle of the sun, or the moon. Many civilizations and societies have devised a calendar, usually derived from other calendars on which they model their systems, suited to their particular needs.
A calendar is also a physical device (often paper). This is the most common usage of the word. Other similar types of calendars can include computerized systems, which can be set to remind the user of upcoming events and appointments.
As a subset, calendar is also used to denote a list of particular set of planned events (for example, court calendar).
The word English word calendar is derived from the Latin word kalendae, which was the Latin name of the first day of every month

Music Video BeautiesReviewsI bought it completly for Jenna Dewan. She is so freaking hot. All her other movies are great too. Pro: Super hot women! Con: The good parts of the women are censored. I'd give this 5 stars - just look at all the hot chicks! I first found about this hot video from Stuff magazine. Looking for some sexy chicks then get this. But if you dont find the chicks hot will you like it? Nope. Average Rating:![]() |

Dieux du Stade: Making of the 2006 CalendarReviewsI was pleased with this and the previous one. This I felt had overall larger players - like you normally associate with rugby - and I enjoyed the addition of some basic info spoken from their lips, mostly in French. I felt like I got more out of it. Yes, watching it from start to finish is unlikely - even hot bodies get old after a while - but I pick my faves and play them over and over and ignore the lame music. It delivers. What can I say? - female reviewer The 2007 calendar (fantastic and to me much better than what I see for 2008) lured me to to DVD. Which is eye candy but tedious, and which I have passed on to my girlfriends. So many of the interviewed rugby players say they are hopeful that doing the calendar will make them more successful with the girls ("les filles"). ;-) I am a bit disappointed in the 2006 "Making..." dvd. I think they spent way too much time on interviews and chatter and not enough on good poses with exceptionally fit and amazingly handsome athletes. I am no expert but the selection of the athletes/models this year is not the best. The cover is about as good as it gets, and unfortunately, you see about as much while viewing. The classical music in the background was beyond annoying and really didn't fit the genre of this dvd or activities of the models. Unlike with 2007, which has a bit of pep and energy, this 2006 dvd is best without sound at all. I enjoy classic music but it is not a good selection for this type of video. I have the 2005 version (which was pretty good and worth having) and the 2007 which I think is best of the series, hoping that 2006 would be just right. It was not. It seems as if 2006 should be when they are working the bugs out of the series, not a representation of their latest work. In addition, you see less, if you know what I mean. Overall, disappointing. If you get only one of these dvds, I recommend sticking with 2007. This edition of the making of the Dieux du Stade calendar is a bit lacking compared to what came before. Francois Rousseau is NOT the photographer here, and his absence is very noticeable. For one, the locations for the shoots are all in studio, therefore somewhat neglects what these guys do for a living. They're athletes, so you would expect some recogniton of that. There is some in some...um..."ball handling," but it's just not the same as when Francois Rousseau had his eye on those types of poses. It's as if the new photographer is trying to channel Rousseau's style, and it just doesn't work. Outdoor locations would have surely fit with the previous editions, allowing for the athletes to be more active.Another gripe is that there isn't as many shoots with multiple guys. Most are one athlete photo shoots, which isn't entirely bad, but some more "guys together" would have been fun to watch as in past editions. And the music, well, it fails here as well. Classical was the choice and it just seemed too boring for what's supposed to be a fun ride. There are some good shots in here, like the good use of a bed, and there are some new dreamy guys mixed with some old familiars (whom we get to hear as well), but this edition just didn't light my fire--hold my attention--as previous installments.I would recommend purchasing this only with previous installments of the "Dieux du Stade Making of," or with the 2007 edition, for the inclusion of memorable shots are few, and this edition would go well as a companion piece as opposed to a solo purchase. Not bad overall - much shorter than previous editions, which was a bit disappointing. Average Rating:![]() |

Gods of Football: The Making of the 2009 CalendarReviewsFirst off, I must apologise to Pedro Virgil. In my review for his rather disappointing Gods of Sport book, I stated his work had a long way to go in terms of being equal to the Dieux Du Stade series. Not only is his work here equal, it surpasses this year's installment of that long running series. This is the work to be showcased and not leftover shots that filled Gods of Sport. Every photoshoot is incredibly filled with gorgeous men that made up the calendar version. Each photoshoot has a theme that is approriately given for the men to portray. From at a ranch to James Bond, to lavish beach shots and old Hollywood photoshoots, every pose and scene holds a remarkable presense of beauty. The guys herein are scorching hot. From muscular and ripped, to even a bit doughy, every guy is a wonder to behold. By far the wonder of this whole endevor has to be Kayne Lawton. This guy has a killer smile and even deadlier body and shows it off to a dreamy reveal. There are no nude frontal shots, except for some noticible straining outlines in some tight briefs (in many super tight tighty-whities), so those that decry the lacking of that type of photo will tiredly do so again here. You do, though, get plenty of shots of backsides and bodies, both nude and in those super tight briefs. In water and on land, the guys never disappoint; however sometimes the choice of music will, but not enough to detract, as I found the music to be much more modern than what is used in the Dieux Du Stade. Also, you get to hear the dreamy guys in their sexy Aussie accent, and Pedro Virgil as well.As for extras, you get plenty of more photoshoots, including one "transformation" of a hairy "wolfman," David Williams, to a sleek looking hunk (not that he was bad to begin with, as he was still hot sporting a wild beard), and two other features include the calendar launch party along with some out-takes.Created for a good cause, to fight breast cancer which is strongly presented at the begining of the DVD, this overall project of hot jocks hopefully benefits it to a successful attempt and lets us help by helping us escape with some dreamy guys for a wonderful amount of time. This DVD showcases some mouth-watering male specimens, and they might have had a chance to heat up the screen if less time were spent on the photographer yakking. In fact, just about the time the photo shoots get intesting, the filmmakers cut to images of unrelated, inanimate objects or to the (relatively unattractive) photographer again. And the music is simply AWFUL, like bad '80s porno music mixed with mediocre dance music. I expected this DVD to be similar to the "Dieux du Stade" releases, but this seems aimed at teen girls. There's just not much that sexy, or even that interesting, here. this is a great dvd. fantastic men. to bad they did as the french and didn't include any frontal nudity. maybe next year "Gods of Football" Very Hot Men Amos Lassen A new DVD from Ariztical Entertainment features some of Australia's best looking men. The film, "Gods of Football" was shot last summer and it features 45 sexy rugby players. They were invited to pose nude or semi-nude and model for a calendar that would help and raise awareness for breast cancer. The men accepted the challenge and what we see are some very sexy images. The calendar went on to be an international bestseller. The men here are exciting and we get a behind the scenes look at the making of the calendar. It is interesting to watch the men as they are transformed from athletes to models. Pedro Virgil and his crew captured it all with outstanding video footage and the scenes vary from the beach to a ranch to a yacht and poolside. It is not only the men that are beautiful (even though they are the focus) but we get to see the beauty of Australia as well. The men bare all (well almost all except for a strategically placed football or other prop). If you love looking at the mail physique especially when it is attached to a handsome face this is the movie for you. The screener that I saw was minus the extras but I understand that will be some very hot bonus shoots as well as calendar cover shots, the calendar launch party, outtakes and much more. Dieux Du Stade: Making of the 2008 CalendarReviewsHaving been a fan of this series for some time now, I can gladly say this "Making of..." is another great installment in the Dieux Du Stade series.I would put it on par with the 2005 feature in terms of overall quality. Now, many disliked that one because of the change to all color, but to me color only enhances the gorgeous athletes on display. 2008's feature is also in color, fully, and gives more insight to some great and highly erotic poses. The theme here is that of ancient beauty, ancient Greek-like if you will, presenting some poses and themes of those times. There are some athletes holding metal lightning bolts, posed as statues, draped in fur, and even put in some athletic poses. Such is the case with Julian Hans acting out some wrestling poses with another athlete (in next to nothing). Some familar faces from the past series show up and also contribute to the great feature (there are even some cuties behind the scenes as well). A lot of great backsides are shown off, and the bodies they belong to are wonderfully laid out (Jean Monribot's body and photoshoot is breathtaking), but if you still seek full frontal shots, well, by now you should know this series is not for you.The great feature of color, artistry and the many beautiful shots on location in front of and featuring beautiful scenery and athletes is enjoyable to watch and wondeful to take in.If you're a fan of this series, you definitely deserve to take a look at this one. Sometimes highly erotic shots with some great guys and great atmosphere deserve at least a look. Just be aware that the music went back to classical, but the music has never been that great in this series anyway. If you enjoyed 2005's installment like I did, you will certainly enjoy this feature; if not, you may want to think twice.2007's installment was definitely the best, but this one still shows with talent, beauty and style, this series can still keep it up =) highly disappointing. no frontal nudity, even by stars that have posed in the previous calender dvd. some nice men, a beautiful location but as i said disappointing. CalendarReviewsI have become a fan of Egoyan's work over the years, including both his early art films and more recent commercial works. I looked forward to seeing Calendar, especially after spending 5 months in Armenia on assignment, but came to find the film to be overly indulgent and ultimately obsessively redundant. It's a visually beautiful, slow moving movie, but the dialogue and plot progression soon become tedious, and I struggled to get through the final 30 minutes. I appreciate Egoyan's nontraditional use of storytelling structure, as well as the integration of film and video technique. As well, his multi-language, multi-ethnic approach to demonstrate a stagnant romantic life of the main character is especially effective. Still, I'm not drawn into the triangled relationship among the three characters, and find Egoyan's use of dialogue tedious at best. Arsinee Khanjian is as talented as ever, and I am of the opinion that she has one of the finest emotive voices in film today. Unfortunately, Calendar is a rather poor vehicle for her, and I have come to appreciate Egoyan as a more complete filmmaker when he removes himself from the screen and focuses on directing/editing. Within the body of Egoyan's work, Calendar is still relevant, but as a stand alone story, I can't say too many good things. If you like films focused on the complexity of relationships that grow at snail's pace, Calendar may be for you... This movie really fits the word "mysterious." I have never seen a film as many times, and each time derived a new meaning, a new insight out of it. One watches it once simply to figure out what happens, ie, the breakup of a marriage, and a second to start picking up the signs of why the couple drifts apart. Calendar satisfies on so many levels: as I heard Arsinee Khanjian's voice pleading with her photographer husband to pick up the phone, my breath stopped - her voice conveys such pain, so much emotion, and she is half a world away! It is a beautiful film that shows 11 Armenian churches and one pre-Christian temple, gorgeously lensed. Egoyan, as many of you may know, is regarded as one of the pre-eminent directors out there today, and in Calendar, it's obvious how he earned his stripes. He mixes monochrome(and rough looking video) with more refined 35mm film, but the effect is completely coherent; it doesn't feel pretentious at all. But what steal the show are the performances. Arsinee Khanjian has a wonderful performance as a soulful woman who takes a chance at love. Atom Egoyan plays a modern photographer who is an emotional void, a cipher. Ashot Adamian plays the guide who attracts Khanjian, who opts to stay in Armenia after the picture shoot is done. There is one scene, however, which sent chills up my spine: At a derelict castle, a man who only speaks Armenian recounts an incident of its history. I don't speak a word of the language, but his voice, his inflection, and the way Khanjian listened and what she says to her husband are completely riveting. There are no subtitles, no explanation of what the old man says, but it is a brilliant scene hinting at the power of language to convey happenings of long ago. There is a theme Egoyan is chiseling here: how modern life drains out the soul from people. All the characters are of Armenian descent, but Egoyan, the most westernized character, seems bland, colorless, without real thoughts (which gets pointed out in the pagan temple scene.) Khanjian, Adamian and the man at the castle seem much more self-possesed, more in touch with some vital and passionate current. In twenty years, this movie will be regarded as one of the classics of cinema. It is deliberately enigmatic, not easy to figure out, but yields a treasure box of wisdom. Please see this film for yourself and get as much meaning from this gem as you can. Atom Egoyan's the type of filmmaker who knows how to sift the pathos and anger out of the most banal of actions, letting his audience wait and wait to find out the events the characters of his movies are already overly familiar with. That creates a certain voyeuristic hypnoticism in his storytelling, and although he hadn't made his back to back masterpieces Exotica and The Sweet Hereafter just yet, his rapt stoytelling was in full effect in Calendar. You get the sense of this filmmaker in every shot - what you may see is a long drive past a field of sheep, but what you feel are the eyes of the filmmaker, watching, in horror, as his hubris eclipses his life. At the moment you realize he's watching his wife slip away from him even as his artistic goals are realized, it's as though the frame itself changes focus, and we're treated to an entirely new way to enter a character's perspective. That's because Egoyan creates a new type of 3-dimensional filmmaking here. He juggles time, space, emotion, and our fields of vision with galvanic ease - because the character you don't see is the one that matters most. I had hoped I would learn more about Armenian church history in the earliest days of christianity. I like Atom Egoyan's films, they are very distinctive compared to American films, always thought provoking. I found this one to be somewhat disturbing, yet it is good. And though historical details are lacking, Armenia's history has been a disruptive one at that, witnessed by the many ruins of churches which dot this ancient pastoral countryside and by the fractured familial relationships that result from endless unrest. Indeed, the films of the churches in Armenia was filmed on site in 10 days with an escort of soldiers and filmed with home video calibre equipment in 1992 or so. There are 13 characters in the film, none with names. The three principal characters are Egoyan and his wife, in real life, Arsinee Khanjian, and the interpreter who comes between them breaking up their marriage, which painfully he must witness while filming, documenting the event forever, at least for the length of the movie. Love is such an intense emotion, 'stronger than death', which Egoyan's character must grapple with the loss of for an entire year as he turns each page of the calendar remembering the events and conversations at those moments. Attempting to forget his wife, he entertains 10 "guests", girlfriends, at his home in Toronto, yet is somehow constantly reminded of his separation and loss. It reminded me of Groundhog Day, yet in the end, Egoyan doesn't get the girl like Bill Murray does. The unidentified foster child of Egoyan in this film, in addition to Egoyan's separation from his wife, is reminiscent of Gabriel Bagradian's family in The Forty Days of Musa Dagh, in that they are split apart as a family. I gave the movie four stars just because I found the story too emotionally intense for me. It was very frustrating to see Egoyan suffer as he did, thinking why doesn't he quit tormenting himself, yet there had been a strong bond between he and his wife and through his work. I think this movie has a lot to say about the power of image in evoking powerful human emotions. We are very influenced by what we choose to see and hear, yet, in Egoyan's case, it seems he is somehow hostage to this situation; he has no free will to forget his betrayal until the last day of the year and the last phone call from his wife. As usual with this marvelous director, you will most likely not understand this film until you are deeply into it, and I find Egoyan's director's commentary to be invaluable. This film is nominally about a photographer (Atom Egoyan) and his wife (Egoyan's real-life spouse, Arsinee Khanjian), who travel to Armenia to photograph churches for a calendar, the wife acting as translator to the Armenian guide (Ashot Adamian). During this process, the wife and guide fall in love, right under the uncomprehending photographer's nose. Back home after she has remained in Armenia, the photographer watches his film of the trip to try and discover when the two fell in love. This description is much too linear for an Egoyan film. It will reveal itself to you in layers, as do all his works. You will constantly be feeling little ah-ha! moments of understanding, which is the element I really enjoy about this director. He is like Hal Hartley with a point. One reviewer feels that the film is too autobiographical, but in his commentary Egoyan laughs about this assumption being made by his friends and others when it previewed, their assumption reinforced by Arsinee's absence -- but it turns out she was at home, unable to travel due to pregnancy -- in what was a happy time for the couple. I think that speaks to how capable this director is at pulling viewers into his fiction. Egoyan reveals that he had not intended to play the photographer, but for technical reasons had to. He's not an actor and knows it, but I think he did a fine job. The story is intimate, but issues of detachment and isolation resound here, as in his other works. This film may be too quiet for non-indie film lovers, but for Egoyan fans or those who are fascinated by people, it will be a treasure that will stay with you a while. DVD extras include the commentary track, Egoyan's biography/filmography, stills, and two interviews with the director -- one 7-1/2 minutes, the other 52 minutes. The film can be heard in English (with English subtitles for the Armenian), and subtitles are available in English or French. Average Rating:![]() |

Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2010ReviewsDo not get this if you have wIN 7 64 BIT! Installed this software, prompted for windows 7 upgrade. When that was done the HP 7210 All In One was non-functional for ANY print job. iT JUST DISAPPEARED. We had the fun of reinstalling the prinder and downloading new drivers, finally got it working. Uninstalled Hallmark, reinstalled, downloaded the update again - repeated this many times. NO LUCK!! Called Hallmark support, couldnt fix it. THey transfered us to "advanced Team' who verified that we did eerything and they treid a few things no luck. The next step is they transferred us to "Product Specialist"/Nova development. I have tried on 4 occasions to get hold of support - we are kept on hold (on OUR minutes, not theirs) and so far no luck. Time wassted so far - at least 8, with no solution. I am enjoying the selection of new cards for various situations, and they are so easy to use. Saves me a lot of time and money going back and forth to a store! I am unable to do physical shopping due to pain issues, so this is great for me! I would like to see more familiar cartoon type characters used for kids' cards (Spiderman, Snoopy, Transformers, Disney, etc.) like in Hallmark stores. I was disappointed in how long it took for delivery from Amazon this time. Usually packages come quickly, this time it took nearly 3 weeks! Hallmark programs are the best. I have 5 different programs and I use Hallmark 2010 the most. The cards are beautiful and ideas are endless. It is the easist program to use on the market Having used Hallmark Card Studio for many years, I was tempted to upgrade again from 2009 to Delux 2010. This is a great product, loads perfectly with Windows Vista Ultimate in just a few minutes, and as always is simple and easy to use and produces wonderful, personal and quite as good as store bought cards.....my only gripe is the lack of new material - there are only a few new Christmas Cards in this edition which is a little disappointing, and also not a lot of new clip art. Come on Hallmark, when you produce the 2011 version, please let us have LOTS of new contents. This program is so few changes from the previous version as to be unnoticable, as a program it is good but as an upgrade just a waste of money Average Rating:![]() |

Hallmark Card Studio 2010ReviewsWill not print with my Intel core I7 windows 7 home premium 64 bit PC... Hallmark had a print patch which I tried on 2/26/2010 but it still crashes whern trying to print... Definitely a hallmark issue.... Anyone with an older computer or other than 64 bit windows may have no problem... But many many people with a state of the art pc with 64 bit windows report the identical problem... I just love this product, it is sooooooooooo easy. Wish I would have purchased it a long time ago....If I can do this anyone can Very limited in card size. Many pictures are too cartoonish. Would like to print note cards, but not possible with this version. No fix here. Every time I print, the program crashes. There is no fix. Customer support was useless. I've used this product for sometime in its earlier versions, but apparently here is the final straw. I would NOT recommend this product unless you have an OS other than Win 7 64 bit. I had an earleir version of this software and lost it in another computer. I just recently bought the 2010 Hallmark Card Studio and to me it is the best greeting card creation program and simple to use with great results. It has a large variety of designs, greetings, and clipart and options to upload your own photos to make wonderful cards for all occasions. Calendar Time Sing-Along Flip Chart & CD: 25 Delightful Songs Set to Favorite Tunes That Help Children Learn the Days of the Week, Months of the Year, Seasons, and MoreReviewsI bought this for my 2 and a half year old, and it's really great. She sings the songs, she points out different things in the pictures, and she can tell me about the different months. It says that the age is Pre-K to 1st grade, but she is doing well learning with it. I would also recommend the alphabet flip chart by the same company. I bought this for homeschooling. The kids LOVE it! They want to sing all of the songs at once (that was not how I planned it, lol, but if that's what they want!). I was really happy when I got it in the mail and it was huge! Very easy for a whole class to see if you teach public school and the pages can be written on and wiped off. It teaches everything - seasons, months, days, weeks & weekends, time, weather...I love this and am so happy that I got it! I AM a preschool teacher and I use this year round. Even though preschoolers may not be able to read all the words, having them look at the print and follow along as you point and they sing is very benefitial to a preschooler's exposure to print and language, that alone is one of the many ways children learn to read. Besides, my students absolutely love it just because the songs are fun and catchy. They look forward to learning the song for each month as the new months begin, this is how we use it. It's great, I want to buy one to make sure I personally own one! I was looking for a nice laminated colorful calendar with extras for my preschool, and thought this would be perfect. The flipchart is mostly words to the songs with a few pictures. My preschoolers cannot read, so the words are not helpful. The flipchart is basically useless unless the children can read. I have not listened to the CD yet, so I do not know if the songs are good or not. My 3-year-old's preschool teacher was trying to find a way to teach the kids their months of the year, and this was perfect. I got it for her as a classroom gift, and she started using it right away. My daughter came home singing songs about all the months, and could identify which month her birthday was in, when summer was, what month Christmas is in, etc. I highly recommend it! Complete Year in Reading and Writing: Kindergarten: Daily Lessons - Monthly Units - Yearlong CalendarReviewsI have been using the writing component of The Complete Year in Reading and Writing with my kindergarten students since the beginning of the year. The book is very easy to use with units on process, genre, strategy, and conventions laid out in a strategic way. I have seen my students blossom as writers as we go back to similar writing prompts throughout the year. As a teacher I see their progress as they write "longer and stronger." More importantly my students are seeing their own progress. The program encourages students to use each other as resources to grow as writers. In this way, they also grow as storytellers, sharing their ideas with each other. The Complete Year series is a wonderful, rich, and empowering resource for teachers. The series provides just the support and structure you need with the flexibility you have always wanted. I watched my friends and colleagues use the lessons with such success and I have seen the joy for reading and writing that the lessons bring to so many students. I highly recommend these books for all K-5 teachers and administrators. Average Rating:![]() |

Melissa & Doug Deluxe Magnetic CalendarReviewsI bought this for my twin 4yr olds. The years start w/ 2009 and go thru 2013. It is a fun thing to do at the beginning of each month. They help put all the numbers on the calendar and holidays/activities. Here are some improvements that Melissa & Doug could make: -Make the calendar larger so that more than one activity/holiday can fit on a day. Omit the plain white board that holds the extra magnets and just provide a small box to keep the extras in. I keep mine in tupperware. -Make it so that the calendar can be hung by two nails so that it doesn't swing. -Or provide a stand like a picture frame or easle. -Provide plain year magnets that you can write on w/ a sharpie I bought this along with the responsibility chart. The calendar is great for my son to see what day it is (I use a special magnet we move from day to day) and then he learns the holidays, when school (daycare) is and when we go to the doctors etc. We had snow right after we received it and he loved putting the magnet with snow flakes on that day. He is learning his days, months better now. I think the variety of magnets will please most any child, though I've found myself finding special magnets just for him that we use in addition to the many ones you get with it. It is very sturdy and requires a stud to hang it on. If it falls, the magnets will fall off (of course!). I'd recommend putting it where the kids can reach it easily. We put ours under our own calendar so it coordinates. The only I thing I would change on it would be that it had more magnets for other things, such as more birthdays, anniversaries as well as some Christian categories instead of just Christmas and Easter just being that (not about what it means to Christians). Though I understand it because some people may object, it does have magnets for other religions like Jewish traditions etc. I find myself moving the magnets around and playing with them myself. I also notice my 4 year old is more aware of the days and doesn't get upset when Monday comes and it's daycare time. It helps him prepare for it. I like all of the Melissa and Doug products - not only because they are well made, but colorful, fun and educational. My just turned 5 year old granddaughter is often asking "when will she do this and when will she do that". I bought this for her recently. Now she can look at the calendar every day and see how many days until Halloween, when is soccer practice, when does the kitty go to the vet, etc. This is a great way to introduce a young child to the calendar. It is fun, colorful, and interactive. At age 5, she is careful with the magnetic pieces and looks forward to "reading" the calendar every day. I love this calendar! We are learning about other cultures by learning about the different holidays. ALso a good way to talk about days of the week and months with my 3 year old. Even my 2 year old likes to talk about what kind of day it is outside with the weather magnets. I got this calendar to use also as a magnetic board for the alphabet magnets that we already have. The board works fine, but the enclosed magnets were stuck on the board and was hard to come off initially. And when they did, they left marks on the board. I guess this may be due to storage condition (got this via Amazon/FatBrain).. but otherwise the calendar is fine. Average Rating:![]() |

Illustory - Christian Edition: Write and illustrate your own Christian-themed book!ReviewsI purchased this kit to make a Christmas present. I coordinated the kids while they wrote and illustrated a story for Grandpa and Grandma. I paid extra for rush processing and premium shipping. The finished book arrived in about three weeks (not bad for December). The Grandparents loved their book. And, the kids really enjoyed telling them all about the writing process. The entire experience was very enjoyable. I bought the "Christian Edition" because it was cheaper. It's basically the same as the regular version, with an added sheet of paper listing some Bible stories as plot ideas. BTW, the kids didn't end up writing a Bible story. Instead they opted to create their own tale from scratch. I would recommend this product very highly. The quality is pretty good (considering the price). The concept is what impressed me most. It's a great idea that really hits the target. Average Rating:![]() |

Creations By You My Calendar -- Create Your Own CalendarReviewsI do a lot of buisness through Amazon and this is the first time I've ever been ripped off. This so called kit comes with 30 or so sheets of plain white paper and 8 markers, for $22 dollars with shipping. Next time I'll read everything and not trust the pics.In this case, what you see is a far cry from what you get. Amazon really needs to pull this item or price it for what it's worth. I love this kit! We got it so we could make a Christmas gift for the grandparents. You can start it with any month! It was a fun project for us to do together -- figuring out what we wanted to draw for each of the months as well as what special dates needed to be added to the calendar. My kids drew pictures, we added photos and stickers and added everyone's birthday and anniversary! My one son even wanted to include his report card and little league schedule. It's not like some of those other calendars you get where you just slip a picture in a folder. This is a real, printed calendar that's bound together. The quality is excellent and we will definitely do this again :) For Christmas we decided to takes pictures of my 18 month old son and have them turned into a calander. We looked all over to find the best product that was reasonably priced. We did our calander on the manufacture's website. This was nice, but had some things that could be improved. To be able to add a background would be nice. Like clouds or something. They didn't over anything like that. The binding was nice and the paper was of good quality. The calander pages themselves are very nice. The colors were bright and easy to read. We used some professional pictures that were on a CD, scanned a few pictures, and used a few I had taken on my digital camera. Overall clarity was excellent. Color quality was 4 out of 5 stars. Some of the colors were not bright or a little off. The biggest downfall seemed to be with the highest quality pictures. Whenever they were printed you could see lines on the pages. Like someone ran a brush over them before they were completely dry. You couldn't see the lines on all the pictures, just the really high quality ones with dark colors (navy blue and black), and it was only when the light shined directly on the page. Hanging up, not bad at all, but when you really look at it, like people do at Christmas time, you can see them. Overall we were satisfied, but I think I would try someone else next time. I bought this as a gift for my neice. When she opened it (cellophane wrapper on), there was nothing but markers inside! I now have to find my invoice and try to send it back!! VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THIS VENDOR!!!!! The kids (ages 5 and 7) had a ball drawing pictures for each month and the reproduction was really fabulous. Plus, I'm thrilled to have something creative and useful to give all the relatives for the holidays coming up. The only problem was that one item (a puzzle we ordered as an extra) was lost and no one could find the original artwork to redo it. But the customer service people were great and ended up sending us a complementary calendar kit as an apology. Average Rating:![]() |
